Alphaban Super is a multi-action insecticide formulated as an oil in water emulsion (EW). The oil in water formulation allows for a homogeneous distribution of the active material through the tank, ensuring that AI levels remain constant from first to last application.
The perfect distribution of active material and its co formulates throughout the spray mix will also help to create a uniformed droplet size. This uniformed droplet size will help to maximize coverage creating a constant and reliable chemical minefield effect over sprayed surfaces.
Alphaban super contains 14.5% w/w cypermethrin, 4.5% w/w tetramethrin & 19.3% w/w piperonyl butoxide. This multi active formulation is a versatile formulation boasting both the type I pyrethroid tetramethrin, for rapid knock down and flushing effects, and the type II pyrethroid cypermethrin, a potent insect killing agent.
Both the type I & II are further augmented in their efficacy with the addition of the metabolic synergist, piperonyl butoxide. This effectively disrupts the insects primary method of resistance to an insecticide and therefore increases the efficacy and duration of control.
Alphaban Super has been rigorously tested in both the field and the lab on a range of crawling and flying insects. In lab tests multiple species were tested against a variety of common surfaces. The results showed total kill of all insects that were directly exposed to the insecticide with little or no loss of control 14 days after application.
As of 1st May 2020 the active ingredient Tetramethrin within this product is classed as a category two carcinogen and carries the H351 statement 'Suspected of causing Cancer'. This classification only applies to this product in their concentrated form and appropriate PPE should be work during handling, dilution and usage.

This advanced formulation is ideal for the control of crawling insects and its potent flushing agent makes it a useful tool for crack and crevice treatments, forcing insects from the safety of their harbourage into the open. A robust formulation which will tackle all but the most stubborn of pest populations.
Add a small quantity of water to a suitable compression sprayer and then add product according to the manufacturer's label. Add the remainder of the water, close the sprayer securely, shake to mix contents. Pressurise according to the sprayer manufacturer’s instructions. One litre of ready-for-use spray treats 20 square metres of surface. Make up spray as required. Do not store spray overnight.
Apply as a coarse low pressure spray. Some surfaces will absorb more spray, e.g. brickwork or concrete, whereas surfaces such as metal or plastic will allow spray to easily ‘run off’ significantly reducing the deposit rate of the active material on the surface. Several passes of a light spray each allowed to dry is more effective when treating non-porous surfaces
Bedbugs: Apply spray to harbourages and resting places on bedframes, headboards and to cracks and crevices around or near the sleeping area. Pay special attention
to any loose wall coverings near the sleeping area and to cracks and crevices in bedroom fittings and furniture. Treat under loose carpeting and around doorframes, picture frames and wall cupboards etc.
Fleas: Prior to treatment, thoroughly vacuum the area and seal the contents of the vacuum bag before disposal in the refuse. Apply spray to carpets and soft furnishings, including the underside of cushions and to areas regularly occupied by domestic animals.
Cockroaches and other crawling insects: Apply to areas where insects are found, e.g. skirting boards, storage areas, around water pipes, door frames, window frames, around and behind refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, stoves and the underside of drawers and shelves and to cracks and crevices behind wall-mounted units or fixtures.
