If your electric fly killer utilises glue boards then these are considered a vital component in the unit's effectiveness
Over time the glue on your glue boards become less effective at trapping insects due to several factors:
- The UVa output created by the lamps dries-out the glue
- Dust in the air lands on the glue board, reducing its effectiveness
- The glue board becomes congested with flying insects caught by the unit
Therefore the manufacturer's recommend that glue boards be swapped-out at least once every 3-months in order to maintain the units effectiveness
