Bed bugs are small parasitic insects. The most common type being the Cimex Lectularius. They hide away in cracks and crevices, making them hard to detect, and live by feeding on the blood of warm-blooded animals.

Bed bug monitors work by luring and trapping bed bugs so that they can be detected and action can be taken to eradicate the bugs in the infested area. Plastic traps are superior to paper traps which can be crushed and made ineffective.
