We stock a broad range of fixings for securing our bird control netting to different substrates.
There are two types of finish available. Standard fixings are either galvanised steel or bright zinc plated steel (BZP). Professional fixings are either grade 304 or grade 316 stainless steel.
We stock fixings for use on Masonry, Timber, Structural Steel, Cladding and Roof Tiles / Slates
Netting fixings break down in to essentially five categories: Corner Fixings, Intermediate Fixings Straining and Perimeter Products, Netting Mounts and Netting to Perimeter Fixings.
Corner Fixings
Corner fixings are the first step in the installation process and are used for anchoring the wire rope framework corners and cross-wires to the structure and tensioning from them with the barrel strainers. Corner fixings are heavy duty in their design to cope with the loads imposed on them from the netting framework.
Intermediate Fixings
Intermediate fixings are the second step in the installation process and are used at regular spacings around the net system's perimeter to prevent the wire rope framework from pulling away from the structure. The wire rope is fed through these fixings but does not start or finish on them, hence they are light-duty in their design
Netting Mounts
Netting mounts, if needed, are the third step in the installation process and are used to lift netting systems over obstacles or to raise the netting off the surface being protected sufficiently to allow access and prevent birds pushing the netting down on to the surface.
Netting Perimeter & Straining Products
Netting perimeter & straining products are the components of the wire rope framework that are both common to and essential for all netting installations and provide the interface between the netting and the fixings and any mounts that are being used. Wire rope is the part of the system that gives the netting its shape, its perimeter and allows the net to be tensioned to prevent sagging.
We also stock fixings in kit format to fit up to a 10m X 10m net system in any mesh size in either Standard or Professional finishes, our kits provide everything you need in the correct quantities including corner, intermediate and perimeter components.
