Ultrasonic Deterrents involve the use of high frequency sound waves that are virtually in-audible to the human ear.
The sound pressure emitted by these highly effective devices temporarily affect the inner ear and nervous system of the target pest species causing stress and fatigue in the pest birds which forces them to flee the protected area.
Use outdoors or indoors anywhere where silent operation is essential.
Highly successful on many species of pest although not pest-specific and may effect any mammal within 8-10 meters in front of the speaker.
Important points to consider when specifying and installing your Ultrasonic pest deterrent:
-
Ultrasound works on a line-of-sight basis. i.e. it does not travel through solid objects (including glass) and will not travel around corners, therefore complex areas may require multiple speakers to effectively protect them. Optimal speaker positioning is essential for a successful installation
-
Each speaker unit has an effective range of between 8 and 10 meters distance and an oval dispersal pattern with a maximum width of about 7.5 meters. The size of the area covered by one speakers varies dependent upon the frequeny setting selected. In general you should expect the min-max of a single speaker to be 570 sq. ft. – 900 sq. ft in front of the speaker.
-
Ultrasonic units cover a smaller area per system than our sonic (audible) bio-acoustic scarers and are best employed in concentrated areas where persistent pests are a problem.
-
If you are looking for a system to scare pests away immediately over a large area then you require one of our sonic (audible) bio-acoustic scarers.
