Powerful UV Lamp Attraction System
The Genus Viper 60 electric fly killer is equipped with four 15W ultraviolet (UV-A) lamps engineered to maximise attraction of flying insects, including flies and other nuisance species. The wavelength emitted by the lamps is optimised to draw insects into the unit efficiently.
Once inside the unit, insects are eliminated via one of two control methods depending on the model specification. In the high-voltage kill grid version, insects make contact with an electrified grid and are instantly electrocuted. In the glue board version, insects are captured on a high-capacity adhesive board positioned behind the lamps.
In kill grid models, insect remains are directed into a 70 mm deep removable collection tray, designed for hygienic disposal and routine servicing. The glue board variant is suitable for HACCP-regulated environments, as it securely retains insects on a grid-marked adhesive surface, reducing the risk of insect fragment contamination in sensitive food production and preparation areas.
