Professional Use Only by Certificated Users under the Control of Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU)
Harmonix® Rodent Paste is an innovative rodenticide bait that offers several unique advantages for professional users. The product contains the active substance cholecalciferol which has a different mode of action to the predominantly used anticoagulant rodenticides.
Harmonix® Rodent Paste is based on the non-anticoagulant rodenticide cholecalciferol, at 0.075%, presented as an optimised paste bait matrix formulation. Cholecalciferol is effective against anticoagulant-resistant Norway rats and house mice. It is not bioaccumulative or persistent and therefore presents relatively lower secondary poisoning risks to non-target species, such as birds of prey, compared to second generation anticoagulants. Areas and types of use for Harmonix® Rodent Paste are indoors and outdoors around buildings, open areas, waste dumps, burrow baiting, permanent baiting, tamper-resistant bait stations and in covered and protected baiting points. Also available is the non-toxic Harmonix® Monitoring Bait as a complementary monitoring option – matching the monitoring product to the rodenticide that may be subsequently employed.
The non-toxic monitoring bait, called Harmonix® Monitoring Paste, has a very similar bait matrix to Harmonix® Rodent Paste. When bait takes of the monitoring product indicate rodent activity, the change to the cholecalciferol product can be made swiftly. This process, of complementary monitoring then switching to cholecalciferol, can help judge the level of initial activity, overcome bait shyness, improve initial bait consumption, shorten the baiting time and therefore reduce the length of time that rodenticides are in place. The kind of complementary monitoring, matching the monitoring product to the rodenticide, is part of a ‘dynamic IPM’ plan as termed by Bayer.
Harmonix® Rodent Paste has a wide application allowance on the label, covering burrow baiting, open areas and waste dumps. Burrow baiting can avoid neophobic response and improve bait uptake. Applying bait directly into the burrow system removes the likelihood of rodents finding additional food sources
Follow-up visits are different to anticoagulants and bait points should therefore be visited at least every 1 to 2 days at the beginning of the treatment and at least weekly afterwards, if not applied as part of a permanent baiting programme.
As a distributor of many forms of professional and amateur use rodenticide PestFix actively supports and promotes the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use to its customer base. PestFix is a registered CRRU supporter.
The CRRU aims to protect wildlife while promoting and providing effective rodent control through the responsible use of rodenticides.

We ask that ALL of our customers, whether you are an amateur user or professional user to follow the CRRU Code at ALL times
To be used only by professional users holding certification demonstrating compliance with UK rodenticide stewardship regime requirements.
Read the label before use. Using this product in a manner that is inconsistent with the label may be an offence.
Refer to the CRRU UK Code of Best Practice (or equivalent) for guidance.
When this product is supplied to a user for the control of rodents, it shall only be supplied to a professional user holding certification demonstrating compliance with UK rodenticide stewardship regime requirements.
Always read and use rodenticides in accordance with the manufacturer's label on the product container, these notes are intended for basic guidance in product selection and order quantity and are not intended for use as instructions by the user.
For mouse infestations use bait points of 30g. Place bait points 5m apart, reducing to 2m in cases of high infestation, paste can also be used to fill holes being used as access points by the mice.
Protect bait points from non-target animals and from moisture, preferably using commercially available bait stations (see related products below).
Make daily inspections of the bait points. replace any bait eaten by rodents or that has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt. If all the bait has been eaten from certain areas then increase the quantity of bait by placing additional bait points.
To protect children and non-target animals do not increase bait point size above the recommended dose given above but instead increase the number of bait points
The resistance status of the target rodent population should be taken in to consideration when choosing which active ingredient is to be used.
