RSPH Level 2 award in Pest Management

COURSE DESCRIPTION

6 DAY COURSE* The objective of this qualification is to provide an understanding of public health pests and their management.

It fulfils the legal requirement relating to the training of pest control technicians as set out in the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986.

Whilst not intended exclusively for people working in pest management, this qualification will better prepare successful candidates to carry out their professional duties safely, efficiently and humanely.

In addition to 6 days of classroom learning, candidates are expected to carry out approx. 50-60 hours of independent learning, either during or before starting the course

Whilst it is not essential, having a copy of the current British Pest Management Manual in advance is certainly beneficial for studying

Passing this course will give you 30 CPD points with Basis Prompt and 27 with BPCA registered scheme

COURSE CONTENT

The qualification is split into 3 modules

Vertebrates - Rodents, non rodent mammals and birds (28th & 29th Aug)

Invertebrates - All manner of insects and other invertebrates (4th & 5th Sept)

Health & Safety and accident prevention, Legislation and Customer Care (10th & 11th Sept)

Each module concludes with a one hour written exam

Should a course be cancelled PestFix will notify you of this action and will offer you a refund of the course fee you have paid or offer an alternative date / location for the same course. PestFix will not be held liable for any other costs incurred.

All course bookings require payment upfront no later than 5 weeks prior to the date of the course. Payments will be accepted in the form of card payment over the telephone, BACS transfer or invoice on account.

Should you wish to cancel your booking you must inform PestFix in writing of your intention. The following notice periods apply:

• Greater than 5 weeks prior to course start date no cancellation fee
• Between 2 and 5 weeks prior to course start date cancellation fee of 50% of course cost applies
• Less than 2 weeks prior to course start cancellation of 100% of course cost applies.
