Active Methods of Insect control

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course will give candidates a greater knowledge of the varying methods of controlling insects both chemical and non chemical

Candidates will look at the need for control, the various methods available and how to identify and apply the most effective method of control

Passing this course will earn candidates 10 CPD points with Basis PROMPT and 10.5 CPD points with BPCA Registered

COURSE CONTENT

In addition to learning how to select and apply the most appropriate control method of an insect infestation -

Candidates will gain hands on experience of various types of application equipment, how to use, service and calibrate it

Candidates will also handle and discuss the benefits of a variety of traps, lures and monitoring devices

There will be discussions regarding various real life infestation examples and how best to treat them.

Booking / Cancellation Policy

PestFix reserve the right to cancel or alter the date of any course should an insufficient number of bookings be received. Should a course be cancelled PestFix will notify you of this action and will offer you a refund of the course fee you have paid or offer an alternative date / location for the same course. PestFix will not be held liable for any other costs incurred.

All course bookings require payment upfront no later than 5 weeks prior to the date of the course. Payments will be accepted in the form of card payment over the telephone, BACS transfer or invoice on account.

Should you wish to cancel your booking you must inform PestFix in writing of your intention. The following notice periods apply:

• Greater than 5 weeks prior to course start date no cancellation fee
• Between 2 and 5 weeks prior to course start date cancellation fee of 50% of course cost applies
• Less than 2 weeks prior to course start cancellation of 100% of course cost applies.
