Netting zips can be installed into any type of bird netting when access is required behind the bird netting. Simply un-zip the bird netting and either reach through or climb through. Ideal for cleaning gutters, changing light bulbs, cleaning CCTV or accessing plant and equipment mounted behind the bird netting.
Netting zips are available in black, stone or white (for translucent nets) and come in 1 to 5 metre lengths.
To fit them to a bird net simply hog ring staple the fabric edging of the zip to the bird netting, using one staple per mesh square on each side of the net. Use netting corner ties at each end of the zip for extra strength. Then un-zip the zip and snip open the bird netting behind it with our sprung netting shears available in the "Netting Tools" section.
It is recommended that for access you create an 'L' shape out of 2 zips. A single zip risks damage to the netting structure and can be difficult to pass through
