Brodifacoum rat poison and mouse poison is one of the latest active ingredient for use against poison-resistant rodents. Brodifacoum single-feed rat bait and mouse bait is a highly lethal 4-hydroxycoumarin vitamin K antagonist anticoagulant poison. In recent years, it has become one of the world's most widely used rodenticides.
Brodifacoum has an especially long half-life in the body, which ranges to several months. Because of its potency brodifacoum is considered to be a single-feed active and is not recommended for use around pets and livestock, unless absolutely necessary, due to the high risk of secondary poisoning.
