Changes planned for professional rodenticide users under CRRU
Wednesday 03/01/2024
The Control of Responsible Rodenticide Use Regime (CRRU) announced in a press release yesterday that in 2 years time there will be significant changes to access professional rodenticides.
From January 2026 onwards, all buyers and users of professional SGAR products must hold either a stewardship-specific training certificate less than five years old, or an older one with proof of membership of a stewardship-specific Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. As five-year certificate expiry dates approach, holders can either repeat the training and requalify, or join a CPD scheme.
PestFix applauds these changes as the pest management tool kit goes through regular changes year on year. The chemicals available, the methods of use and the integrated pest management (IPM) strategies are updated often and therefore so should a pest professionals training follow suit.
If you are concerned about the upcoming changes, are looking for training options or just want a chat about how you may be affected you can contact our team on 01903 538488 or email [email protected]
