Red Sea Crisis having global effect on shipping containers

80% of container fleets have been sent on longer journeys than normal. The risk of attack in the Red Sea has meant that the majority of container ships have been unable to access the Suez Canal and are being diverted around the Cape of Hope and up the west side of Africa. This change of route adds approximately 10-14 days to the voyage.
