PestFix featured on the Tonight show on ITV on 28th March at 8:30pm

A film crew and journalist visited PestFix in February to conduct interviews with the Technical Manager of British Pest Control Association (BPCA) Natalie Bungay. The television show was looking at the impact of pests, in particular rodents, on the public. It focussed on how rodents are still a prevalent problem and that problems are arising from social housing dilapidation, council policies differing between constituencies, the question of ownership of responsibilities between tenants and landlords and more.

"Initially PestFix were only meant to be hosts for the ITV team to film their interview with Natalie. But when journalist Geraint Vincent arrived much earlier than his film crew, I ended up having a really good discussion with him about the topic. With PestFix working with both the pest professional industry and also supplying amateurs with advice and product, we have a unique perspective on the relationships with pests, the public and the professionals.

Once again my natural passion for the pest industry landed me in a position I wouldn't actively seek out. I do not enjoy being the centre of attention, and definitely not one where I am suddenly behind a camera with the intention of being aired on prime time tv! But when it comes to informing the public on urban pests, how complicated they are and how pest professionals are a skilled workforce that should always be the first choice, it wasn't as hard as I expected." PestFix regularly works with national and local media to be a voice for professional pest management. Working on the idea that education is the most important tool to give the public understanding of our pretty niche but highly impactful industry.
