Specification

Ficam® Dis an insect control dust containing the active ingredient Bendiocarb 1% w/w. Recommended for the control of flies, cockroaches, ants, fleas, moths, bed bugs, carpet pests, wasps, bees, silverfish and other bristle tails, ground beetles, earwigs, crickets, booklice, spiders, woodlice, centipedes, millipedes, ticks and thrips.

It is particularly recommended for the treatment of inaccessible areas such as roof voids and service ducts where spraying is impractical and around electrical installations where spraying is undesirable.

Ficam® D is the superior wasp and ant control product which has been tried and tested for over 30 years in the field.

With its extensive label recommendations Ficam® D is easy and ready to use and comes in a re-sealable pack.

It is a biodegradable product with no risk of environmental contamination. It is ideal to use where liquid-based formulations are unsuitable.

The particulate nature of Ficam® D means it will not be absorbed by porous surfaces and where deposits remain undisturbed, it will provide long term residual activity.

Ficam® D is odourless, non-tainting, non-staining and noncorrosive. Bendiocarb is photostable exerting prolonged residual insecticidal activity.

Usage

Professional use only, in purchasing this product you undertake that it will be applied by a suitable trained and experienced professional. For use only as an insecticide always read and use in accordance with the product label

Ficam D is recommended for the control of flies, cockroaches, ants, fleas, moths, bed bugs, carpet pests, wasps, bees, silverfish and other bristle tails, ground beetles, earwigs, crickets, booklice, spiders, woodlice, centipedes, millipedes, ticks and thrips. It is particularly recommended for the treatment of inaccessible areas such as roof voids and service ducts where spraying is impractical and around electrical installations where spraying is undesirable.

Ficam D can be used in and around buildings including houses, blocks of flats, hospitals, warehouses, factories, museums, military establishments, vehicles, ships and aircraft. It can be used in continuously occupied areas as a band/spot or crack and crevice treatment only. It can also be used outdoors at refuse tips and sewage works (not for use on sewage works filter beds).

Directions for use

Application

Apply Ficam D by hand shaker or puffer, bellows or piston type gun or rotary blower at a dose rate of 10 – 20 g Ficam D per m2.

Crawling Insect Control

Ficam D may be used alone for crawling insect control in buildings. It should be applied to all areas where insect pests are found, particularly hiding places and runways.

More usually, Ficam D is used in conjunction with a suitable spray treatment such as Ficam W. Exposed areas and cracks and crevices should be treated with the spray and Ficam D should be applied to inaccessible areas such as service ducts, roof voids and around electrical equipment where spraying is undesirable. Where access is particularly restricted, such as behind wall or bath panelling, drill a small hole, blow in Ficam D and reseal.

.

Wasps and Wild Bees

Apply Ficam D to the nest entrance and surrounding area. Although Ficam D will not excite wasps or wild bees, care should be taken as the presence of the operator may do so.

This product should only be used against feral bees if other methods of control are not feasible or found to be ineffective.

Members of the British Beekeepers Association (01203 696679) and the National Bee Unit (01904 462510) can provide advice and contacts to remove accessible feral honey bee colonies.

Action should be taken to prevent foraging bees gaining access to treated bees nests, preferably by removing the combs or blocking the nest entrance.

Insect Control on Refuse Tips

Apply Ficam D on newly deposited rubbish as loads are brought to the tip. Ficam D can also be used around dustbin areas, sewers and septic tanks.

WARNING
