Ficam D is a ready-to-use dustable powder containing Bendiocarb 1.289% w/w (1.25 % w/w pure) for use indoors as an insecticide for the control of ants, wasps and hornets (nests), including Asian Hornets.
It is particularly recommended for the treatment of inaccessible areas such as roof voids and service ducts where spraying is impractical and around electrical installations where spraying is undesirable.
Ficam® D is the superior wasp and hornet control product which has been tried and tested for over 30 years in the field.
Ficam D is for use indoors in areas including houses, blocks of flats, hospitals, warehouses, factories, museums, military establishments, vehicles, ships and aircraft.
Indoor use:
- • For control of wasps and hornets (nests) including Asian hornets nests, as an indoor nest treatment, used with an impervious surface covering.
- For direct application against Ants s, as a spot application, specifically around electrical equipment, inside of voids, cavities and service vents.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Apply Ficam D by hand shaker, puffer pack, bellows and piston-type applicator guns.
Only for use against wasps and hornets when applied by manual and/or powered applicator.
Apply a maximum of 11 times per year per application site.
Wasps and Hornets
For application as an indoor nest treatment, apply an impervious (impermeable) surface covering to all surfaces that could be contaminated during treatment. For accessible wasp nests apply 20-60 g per wasp nest, depending on the size of the nest. For inaccessible, hidden wasp nests apply 20-60 g distributed across the identified nest entry points.
Apply 20-60 g per Asian Hornet Nest, depending on the size of the nest.
Apply Ficam D to the area surrounding the nest entrance and through the entrance into the nest.
Punch a hole in the walls of the nest where possible and apply through the opening inside the nest.
Although Ficam D will not excite wasps, care should be taken as the presence of the operator may do so.
For indoor nest treatment: use with an impervious (impermeable) surface covering (with all disposal of waste material as solid waste according to local management regulations).
Avoid contamination of adjacent wet cleaned surfaces during treatment. Cover adjacent wet cleaned surfaces with impermeable coverall (e.g. plastic sheet) or remove powder by targeted wet wiping with disposable tissues.
Action should be taken to prevent foraging bees gaining access to treated nests, preferably by blocking nest entrances. After treatment nests should be removed, if possible, and disposed of in a controlled manner, i.e. Pesticide Waste Disposal Scheme
Ants
Apply directly to ants inside of voids, cavities and service vents.
Seal/close voids, cavities and vents after application.
Apply directly to ants at a rate of 10 – 20 g of product per m2
